Our Mission

The Uruguayan-American Foundation (UAF) is a non-profit corporation whose main mission is to seek tax-deductible contributions of new or used medical and educational equipment and supplies, as well as financial donations, for distribution to non-profit schools and hospitals in Uruguay.

All recipients of UAF support are selected on the basis of need, without regard to race, religion, or political affiliation.

The UAF was established in the District of Columbia on November 7, 1990, under Section 501 (C)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
